Students from the school will be providing entertainment on the main stage. This year the school is celebrating its 125th anniversary so there will also be a Peddler’s Parade, with children dressed as peddlers selling various wares.
You will also have the chance to bid in the silent auction to win some great prizes at bargain prices. Other entertainment will include the Chew Chop and Chill Fun Dog Show from 11am.But the Milton State School Fair offers even more with a great range of evening entertainment as well. The Bledisloe Cup will be shown from 7.30 on a big screen after the main fair is over. There will be a disco for the kids from 4.30pm and food vans selling pizza, dumplings, sushi, sausages and potato swirls until 9pm. There will also be a fireworks display with the whole event expected to wind up around 9pm.
Every time I have visited this fair it has been a very hot day so come prepared with sunscreen and hat. There will be snow cones and drinks on sale so use these to cool down. Hit the second hand books and second hand stall early to get the best stuff and late when there are good bargains to be had. The Gourmet Food stall will have a great assortment of chutneys and jams and the cake stall will have hundreds of home made goodies.
The Milton Fair on the Green is supported by many local businesses, so you may wish to also duck next door into Rosalie for a bit of shopping and to return the support, It’s always a fun day and a great way to support a local school. All money raised supports educational programs within the school.
