Bust out your best winter woollies and channel your inner athlete – Sliders Curling Bar is coming to Brisbane just in time for winter!
Yep, the team behind Bumper Cars on Ice and Explore Hidden are at it again, transforming Cupo in Fortitude Valley into a pop-up bar and ice rink – this is your chance to try your hand at the retro Olympic event in a winter wonderland-themed venue decked out with allll of the trimmings.
So, how do you play? It’s quite simple – there will be multiple curling rinks, with two teams allowed to play on each lane. The lanes can accommodate up to eight people, so start picking your team now. The players slide ‘stones’ towards targets and score the highest points for the stones resting closest to the centre. Nominate two team members as ‘sweepers’ to help influence where the stones go. From there, it’s game on, baby!
A full winter-themed cocktail menu can be expected, along with a live DJ and plenty of neon! Once you’ve conquered the competition, settle down with a boozy hot chocolate or mulled wine and watch the rest of the teams battle it out.
Tickets will be sold on a per-lane basis with each lane accommodating up to 10 people. Tickets start from $99 for off-peak times and $119 for peak times. Early bird tickets are on sale now!
