Sunset Spritz Returns To Customs House

Indulge this spring and summer at Customs House with a refreshing seasonal twist. In a partnership with Aperol, the iconic CBD venue will re-launch their successful pop up bar, Sunset Spritz – pairing stunning sips and eats with classic views.

Launching on Thursday 21 September, Sunset Spritz will celebrate apertivo with Italian inspired bites and cocktails, with picturesque views of the Brisbane River. The bar will run from Thursday – Saturday from 4pm until late, and Sundays from 12 – 4pm. Sunset Spritz will remain open throughout the spring and summer months.

Set in the iconic Customs House courtyard, views from the heritage listed venue to the sparkling Brisbane River and Kangaroo Point cliffs will captivate Sunset Spritz guests.

Director of Customs House, Brian Roberts, said: “Along with our partner Aperol, we are very excited to bring back our Sunset Spritz spring pop up bar. A glass of Aperol Spritz and a bite by the river is something we’d love all locals to enjoy. It’s the perfect way to celebrate spring.”

From Aperol Spritz to Bellini, the bar will be full of favourites. Guests will be able to sip on a Negroni and Limoncello Collins, as well as an array of classic spirit combinations such as Campari and orange, rosé wine from Provence and Peroni beer.

Perfectly paired Italian inspired canapés will include the likes of freshly shucked Coffin Bay oysters, Milanese saffron fontina arancini, crumbed olives stuffed with feta and chicken parmaigiana sliders with mozzarella, tomato and pesto. Guests will also be able to enjoy a variety of cheeses.

From sunset to nightfall, you’ll realise why Sunset Spritz needed to come back for another spring and summer.
