The landmark tenth edition of QAGOMA’s flagship exhibition series, ‘The Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art’ (APT10) takes a fresh look at contemporary art from across Australia, Asia and the Pacific.

KALBAR SUNFLOWER FESTIVAL | 25-27 MAR 

Head to the Scenic Rim to walk among the 300,000 sunflowers and totally immerse yourself in the beautiful surrounds. The 2022 Sunflower Festival is shaping up to be epic with exciting experiences including a new sunflower maze, helicopter rides, photography sessions and yoga classes. WORLD SCIENCE FESTIVAL BRISBANE | POSTPONED

Everyone’s favourite World Science Festival Brisbane is returning to South Bank! This year’s program presents a mind-blowing exploration of the phenomenal world we live in through a focus on “Science, People, Heart”, investigating how science and art combine to shape a brighter world. The program is complete with a holographic exhibition (think star trek meets Jurrasic Park), Curiocity Brisbane with interactive installations all around the city, Sustainability Markets showcasing eco-conscious small businesses, a ‘Satellite Bar’ dishing up drinks and live music to enjoy on the Riverside Green and of course, the iconic City of Science precinct that’s home to a five-day science extravaganza with FREE activities for the whole family to enjoy! Oh and of course, you can catch the adorable turtle hatchlings at The Hatchery.

BRISBANE COMEDY FESTIVAL | 29 APR – 29 MAY

Brisbane Comedy​ Festival returns in 2022, bursting at the seams to host a hand-picked selection of the funniest folk in the country. Held from Friday 29 April to Sunday 29 May in 2022, this multi-venue laughter extravaganza held across Brisbane Powerhouse, The Tivoli and The Fortitude Music Hall, plays host to one-liners, whimsy and mockery from some of the most hilarious national and local comedians. Get tickets now!

It features stories by Victoria Carless, Simon Cleary, Matthew Condon, Trent Dalton, Nick Earls, Benjamin Law, Hugh Lunn, Kate Morton and Ellen van Neerven.

Explorers can also rejoice – the Clock Tower Tours and Brisbane City Hall Tours have recommenced, as have new walking tours of the city.
